Marko Bernobić grew up between his family’s vines. After studying winemaking and working in the Institute’s experimental cellar in Poreč, he founded Vicinim in 2007.

Vicinus, the old Latin name for Višnjan, means a place close by. Vicini + M, for Marko. Vicinim.
